REFLEXOLOGY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS

To help support our little people and teens

This is an area of reflexology that I find fascinating, rewarding and something I want to learn more and more about.

When studying to become a reflexologist, I used my own daughter (6-7 years old at the time) as one of my case studies. She had no physical challenges or illnesses, but had suffered some family loss and also, (like every other child at the time) was navigating her way through the Covid 19 pandemic, home schooling and missing her friends and wider family.

She had started to have trouble sleeping and starting worrying about things that she wouldn't have previously been concerned about.

I found that regular, short treatments really helped her sleep patterns and helped her to relax in the evenings. By the end of the case study she was enjoying weekly full treatments (avoiding certain areas which are not recommended for young children) and now requests a treatment whenever she can't sleep, has growing pains or is feeling nervous about something.

I think reflexology can really help to balance children as well as adults, and also allows them time for themselves, time to talk (if they want to) or rest. Their little lives are as manic as ours and treatments can be incredibly beneficial to them.
